Representative John Boehner Responds to My Question

In a recent Digg Dialogg I submitted this question to Rep. Boehner, and thankfully he responded!
  1. What will you do to reach out to the Ron Paul republicans and like minded, libertarian leaning republicans? (+94 diggs, view question, submitted by haydukeqc)
And here is the response around 18:00.

Yes, you did say it right. I appreciate Rep. Boehner's answer, I have known him to have an even keel. He responds without the disdain that some republicans impregnate the words with when asked about Ron Paul. He also leaves open the idea of creating a larger party on the libertarian wing; being inclusive.

Dear Mr. President

Mr. President,
Today is your big day, congratulations. I have nothing but hope and respect for you, and what you have accomplished. I know that you will do everything in your power to help us through the storm that we are in, and I know that you will do what you think is best. I appreciate your pragmatic spirit; not bending over to any ideology, be it your own or another’s. That being said, I am watching you.

This afternoon you will be placed under the microscope, and every move you make will be analyzed, judged, and berated by talking heads and politicians alike. But do not forget about the public, we too will be watching your every step, and in such dire times expect no quarter. The choice is yours as to how you decide to govern, but it is clear that you will strong arm congress into what policies you see fit. I hope that you will take a step back from your intense surroundings and ask yourself “What are the costs of what we are doing?”

The conditions are bad now, that is unquestionable, but are the costs of righting the ship that great. Sure we can pay the American public to dig holes and fill them up again, and maybe that will help, but will passing the bill onto us, the American youth help. Obama, you were supported by more young people then any other candidate, and I hope you do not forget this. Do not tax us because of our parents failures; do not send us the bill for the botched progress, let them pay for it. Too long has the future of this nation been taken for granted, and we have accepted it. We pay social security even though we will never see a dime, and we go to your wars and then accept picking up the tab for it. Do not continue this trend. Do not let our currency devalue until it is nothing, do not let the deficit balloon to outrageous amounts, do not tax us into oblivion, and do not tell us what we can and can not do.

President Obama, you better dance with the one who brought you, or else we may leave the dinner before the bill arrives, I hear Argentina is nice this time of year.
